Green Beans with Garlic and Crispy Bacon

Cooking time: 15 minutes  

Serves: 4 

Ingredients

  • 500g Green Beans 
  • 2 Garlic Cloves 
  • 100g Streaky Bacon 
  • Salt and Pepper 
  • 10g Butter  
  • ¼ Cup Water   

Method

  1. Prep the green beans by cutting off the tops and keeping the tails. 

  2. Finely slice the garlic cloves and finely dice the bacon. Set aside. 

  3. Bring a large pan to high heat. Add the butter and beans, and sauté for 1 minute.
      
  4. Add the water and cook until the water evaporates, stirring occasionally, for approximately 5 minutes.  

  5. Then add the garlic and bacon. Cook for 5 minutes until golden brown.  

  6. Season with salt and pepper and serve hot.   

Chef's Tips:

Serve as a side dish with grilled meats, slow cook meats, roasts, seafood or fish.
