Wasabi Corn on the Cob

 

Prep time: 10 minutes 

Cooking time: 30-40 minutes  

Serves: 4 

Ingredients

  • 4 Corn Cobs
  • 40g Butter
  • 2 tsp Wasabi Paste
  • ¼ Cup Mayonnaise
  • ½ Lemon
  • 4 tsp Furikake
  • Salt and Pepper

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Soften butter to room temperature. 

  2. Peel the husk back but leave on the stem and remove the silk. Set the corn aside. 

  3. Mix the softened butter with 1 tsp of wasabi paste and season with salt. Brush corn with the wasabi butter. 

  4. Cover the corn back up with the husks and tie with a string. Place on a lined baking tray and cook for 30-40 minutes until tender and golden. 

  5. Meanwhile, combine the mayo with the juice of ½ a lemon, 1 tsp of wasabi paste, and season with salt and pepper.
     
  6. Unwrap the corn from the husks, brush all over with wasabi mayonnaise and sprinkle with Furikake
