Grilled Shallots with Honey Garlic Burnt Butter

Ingredients
- 1 Bunch Shallots
- 2 Garlic Cloves
- 1 Tbsp Butter
- ½ Tbsp Honey
- Salt and Pepper
Method
- Preheat a BBQ grill or a grill pan to high heat.
- Finely slice the garlic.
- Clean the shallots by removing the old leaves and wiping them with a damp cloth. Cut off the root ends and place them on a tray.
- Drizzle some olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Toss well and set aside.
- Once BBQ or grill pan is hot, grill the shallots for approx. 3 minutes on each side until charred and soften.
- Meanwhile, place the butter in a small frying pan on medium high heat. Once melted add the garlic.
- Stir and once butter starts to bubble and change colour to golden brown, add the honey. Stir well for half a minute and remove from heat. Season with a pinch of salt.
- Remove the shallots from the grill once ready and pour over the garlic honey burnt butter.
- Serve it hot.
Chef's tip:
Serve as a side dish with any grilled meat.
