Low Sugar Macadamia & Berry Breakfast Bowl

Packed with goodness top to bottom, smoothie bowls are a delicious breakfast, lunch or snack option. Power up with a serve of Brookfarm Low Sugar Granola Macadamia Raspberry for added yum and a crunchy protein boost.

Serves: 1 

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen raspberries 
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt or kefir
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla 
  • 1/3 cup Brookfarm Low Sugar Granola Macadamia Raspberry 

 Method

  1. Add all the ingredients (except the granola) to a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Pour into a bowl, top with Low Sugar Granola and additional fruit (if desired).
  3. Serve immediately 

Notes 

  • A good thick smoothie bowl should be the consistency of a slushie. The absolute non-negotiable trick is frozen fruit and a good thick yogurt. Either use pre-frozen or you can take advantage of the season’s best when it’s in abundance and freeze your own. If you’re using Kefir instead of yogurt you might want to add a little ice.
  • Optional extras - mix and match to find your perfect smoothie combo - try a little cinnamon, a tablespoon or two of your favourite nut butter, some avocado, a scoop of protein powder, or play with your own fruit combinations.
  • For a dairy free option substitute coconut yoghurt and/or frozen avocado.
