Breakfast porridge with seasonal berries, nut & seed mix and cinnamon honey
Porridge lovers know that they're onto a good thing. Not only is it utterly delicious when properly prepared (much porridge aversion comes from being served a dish that bears no resemblance to oats cooked right) but it truly keeps you going until lunchtime. Comfort food that's good for you makes a great brekky.

READY TO EAT
Let us lighten the load - you can order everything you need to make this Breakfast Porridge recipe, including the Brookfarm Power Porrij, as a meal kit from our Ready to Cook line.
CHEF'S NOTE: We used cinnamon honey, but you can use normal honey and add a pinch of cinnamon (or not). We also used Brookfarm's Power Porrij - a high-protein, high-fibre mix of oats, barley, and organic super grains - for this recipe, but you can use cooking oats, preferably steel cut, for the same outcome. Instant oats are not an appropriate substitute, unless you like eating heavy glue - they're perfectly fine when prepared as directed, but don't work when using a traditional method.
