HFM Raisin French Toast with Berry Jam or Maple Syrup

Ingredients

  • 8 Slices of HFM Raisin Bread  
  • 6 Large Eggs 
  • 1 ½ Cups Milk  
  • ½ Tsp vanilla Essense  
  • 50g Butter  
  • 1 Tbsp Icing Sugar 
  • 1 Punnet Strawberries 
  • 1 Punnet Blueberries  
  • 1 Punnet Raspberries  
  • 1 Punnet Black berries  
  • Mixed berry jam Or Maple Syrup 

Method

  1. In a bowl, whisk the eggs, milk and vanilla essence together. Until well combined  

  2. Bring a non-stick frying pan to medium heat. 

  3. Dip one slice of raising bread at the time into the egg mixture making sure it covers all the bread.  

  4. Spread some butter on the pan and place the soaked bread into the pan. Cook for approx. 1 ½ min on each side until golden brown in both sides.  

  5. Place on a platter and sprinkle with the berries. Dust with some icing sugar and drizzle with maple syrup or spread with some HFM Jam.
