They are small fruits of about 1.5 to 3cm in diameter, brownish-copper in colour when ripe on the outside and white on the inside with a small stone (comparable to a mirabelle plum).
Their taste is somewhere between apple and date depending on maturity: apple-like in consistency and taste when young, smooth and clear. Close to a date when the fruit ripens and becomes very dark and crumbly.
They are best eaten when the skin is dark and fruity. We recommend that you leave them to ripen in the open air if the skin is still smooth when received.
