Limes are excellent value this week and on promotion in all stores. Coming from Far North Queensland, we are experiencing a flush of fruit we only experience a handful of occasions during the year. Lychees are eating great and still around in good numbers; however, the season tends to wind up quickly as we get to the near the end of January so be sure to make the most of this fantastic eating fruit.
Reed avocados are in all stores and eating special. Coming from the South Australia and Victoria, the season is looking reasonable. The Reed season is a relatively short one so make the most of the outstanding eating avocado.
Honey Gold mangoes are on promotion in all stores this week with the crop approaching the peak of season. The pick in the mango category this week, we are selling extra-large Honey Gold mangoes and a keen retail price.
The cherry season is in the home stretch. In January, we source most of our fruit out of Tasmania. The climate in Tasmania is conducive to producing some of the best quality cherries in the country. Tasmanian cherries will be on an excellent promotional price this weekend so be sure to look out for it.
Peaches and nectarines are both eating well and in excellent supply. I would suggest that the peaches are eating marginally better the nectarines this week.
Seedless melon is in good supply this week. Most of the fruit is coming from central Queensland and eating amazing.”
