Classic Garlic Mushrooms

 

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cooking time: 12-15 minutes

Serves: 4 

Ingredients:

  • 2 Punnets Sliced Mushrooms (Swiss Brown, Cup Mushrooms) 
  • 2-3 Garlic Cloves  
  • ¼ Bunch Parsley  
  • ½ Tbsp Butter
  • Olive oil  
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Method:

  1. Begin by peeling and gently crushing the garlic cloves.

  2. Next, thoroughly wash and carefully chop the parsley into fine pieces.

  3. In a large pan, heat it over high flame and generously drizzle it with olive oil. Add the mushrooms to the pan.

  4. Season the mushrooms with a pinch of salt and pepper, then sauté them for about 5 minutes. Afterward, introduce the crushed garlic and continue cooking for an additional 5 minutes or until the mushrooms turn a delightful golden brown.

  5. To enhance the flavour, introduce a pat of butter and the finely chopped parsley to the pan. Turn off the heat and stir everything together until well combined.

  6. Serve the dish while it's still hot and enjoy.

 Tips: 

  • Serve garlic mushrooms as a side dish with grilled meats or grilled vegetables. 
  • Serve with eggs, bacon and toast for breakfast. 
  • Toss through Pasta and add parmesan cheese.
