Cooking Directions for Rice Combine 1-1/2 cups of rice and 2 cups of water in a medium saucepan. Bring to a soft boil: reduce heat to low, cover the saucepan and simmer for 20 minutes or until moisture is absorbed. Remove rice from heat: Let stand covered for 10 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve. Note: If using electric rice cooker, combine 1-1/2 cups of rice and 2 cups of water in the electric rice cooker then continue as directed by the rice cooker manufacturer.
