Thompson seedless are the most popular grape on our domestic market, easily recognized they are elongated in shape with a light green skin. They are a very sweet grape and have become very popular in the Japanese and Korean export markets. We are exporting such large quantities that our growers no longer discuss the price in Melbourne or Brisbane but to them now the price to match is whatever Japan and Korea are paying. Nonetheless this week the price is fantastic, the quality superb, these Thompsons are at their absolute best!
HOW TO PICK
Choose firm, plump clusters that are securely attached to their stems. Stems should be green and fresh. Look for a silvery coating or natural bloom that protects the fruit’s freshness.
HOW TO STORE
Store in an airtight container or in a sealed plastic bag in the fridge. Only rinse before use.
