My pick this week is new season Queensland strawberries. The weather is beautiful around the Caboolture area where these grow at this time of the year. Strawberries love dry weather, cold nights and warm days to grow at their best. This week looks a bit warmer than next, and so we have a good quantity of fruit being picked daily and sent to the market. The strawberries are not really cheap, but the quality is absolutely superb. They will fall in price once the warm weather comes, but that is usually in late July or August. In the meantime enjoy this fantastic fruit!
