This week we have broccoli from all over the Eastern Seaboard. The Queensland season is just starting up, however supplies are excellent from Victoria and Tasmania. Prices have halved from last week and the quality is excellent. Broccoli is one of the most popular vegetables we sell, and it's pleasing to see it return to a price that doesn’t break the household budget!
HOW TO PICK
Look for broccoli with bright green heads and compact clusters of the broccoli florets. Avoid broccoli that appears to have woody stems or those with yellow florets.
HOW TO STORE
Store broccoli in the fridge and aim to use within 5 days.
