One of the newer varieties and has only been more common in the last two seasons. They are a very sweet mid-season apple which I think is really worth trying. The taste is sensational, with a kind of honey flavour and it is a rather large apple. Unlike most of the new apples, it has not been developed by cross breeding other varieties but it was one of those flukes of nature whereby one tree in an orchard turns out different and the orchardist then develops that one tree into an orchard of that particular variety.
