September Candy Plums are one of the best eating plums we sell. They are particularly good value because the stone is very small, so more flesh for your dollar! I cannot recommend them highly enough. Customers ask me from time to time why these new varieties have names like September Candy, October Sun etc. It is because these varieties were initially developed in the northern hemisphere and the fruit there is harvested in their Autumn; hence the names October and September. Don’t miss this plum! Don’t forget as with all plums, put them in the fruit bowl until they are really soft; hard plums are never good to eat, however, growers know sending ripe fruit to market means the supermarkets will reject them.
