A message from our Co-CEOs

To All of our Harris Farm Customers,

Firstly, we'd like to offer our thoughts to everyone during this time. We know it is going to be tough, that there will be a lot of changes that may seem confronting. We hope that everyone comes together - as we usually do in Australia when we come under pressure - and that we can all extend extra kindness, patience and care for each other as things get difficult.

As the Coronavirus crisis in Australia escalates we are reaching out to advise of our position and advise you of our readiness.

We established an incident response team some weeks ago and have been working around the clock to try make sure we are as ready as possible for this and in doing so, we have been placing utmost importance on the safety of our team and our customers. At the same time we recognise that people will be relying on our business - perhaps more so than ever - to buy good safe food for their families. As an integral part of Sydney and NSW's food supply system, we are implementing measures using the best information available from Australian authorities.

We are open for business both in store and online. We have been preparing our supply chain for this for some time and have a significant volume of product either on hand or ready to go to supply you with everything you need to eat well at home. We will do our best to keep serving you throughout this evolving event. We see no unmanageable risk to the food supply system in Australia. The vast majority of what we sell is grown or produced in Australia. Any short term rushes and out of stocks are likely to be just that - short term.

To date we have implemented travel policies and increased the availability of sanitiser for both customers and staff in all stores. We have implemented social distancing policies and have further interventions ready to help protect both staff and customers if required. We have also greatly restricted the interaction of our people between stores and in our support office and warehouse teams. Where relevant, we have had team distancing and working from home in place for some time. We also have procedures and communications systems in place to react quickly to any change in circumstances that may impact our team, customers or supply chain.

We have also done a lot of planning for future stages of this event. As and when the need arises, and in line with advice from the Government, we will continue to evolve our response and operating procedures and keep our staff and customers well informed.

Sincerely,
Tristan, Luke and Angus Harris | Co-CEOs
