The options are never-ending of finding things to do and to keep the kids entertained by colouring in the fruit and vegetables on the delivery box.
Here are some more ideas:- Create a mini vegetable shop with the remainder of the cardboard box.
- Make a Carmon Miranda hat for Easter by making a crown and sticking on all of the colourful fruit.
- Create a colour game by grouping all of the colours.
- Create a fruit alphabet that can be pinned up on your bedroom wall.
- Create a mini vegetable patch and stick the vegetables into the patch in rows with Velcro dots
What you will need:
-
A Harris Farm delivery box
-
Water colour pencils
-
Small paint brush
-
Water
-
Sharp scissors (parents may need to help)
-
Jute string or colourful string
-
A bamboo skewer
-
A long stick to hang the mobile off (a long wooden spoon also works well)
Instructions:
- Colour in the fruit and vegetables on the box with whatever colour your heart desires. Using a small paintbrush add a little water over the watercolour pencils and paint them in.
- Once dried, cut out the mini fruits and vegetables using sharp scissors ( parents may be needed to help).
- The reverse side can be painted in a bright colour or leave as is.
- Using a bamboo skewer poke a hole through the top of the fruit.
- Take a long strand of string and tie on your first piece, the largest fruit or vegetables work well at the bottom to weigh it down. Leave a little gap and tie on the next piece. Add on as many pieces as you like, 5 pieces works well. Repeat this process until you have 5 lengths of tied on fruit and vegetables.
- Tie each strand onto your stick.
- Tie on to each end of the stick a long piece of string to hang the mobile from. Then all you have to do is hang it up in your bedroom.
