Maffra Red Leicester

Maffras Red Leicester has a tightly knit texture and buttery, mellow flavour. It takes its colour from a natural dye (beta carotene) found in the seeds of the South American Achiote tree. The red colour was traditionally used to signify the creamy milk that it was made from. This cheese adds great colour to a cheese platter. Try with celery, fig jam and a dry white wine.
