Pick of the Week - Imperfect Corella Pears

Like most of Australia’s pears, these Imperfect Corella Pears come from the Goulburn Valley. They are a smaller, sweeter pear, that are a fantastic addition to your cheese plate! The only reason they are Imperfect is because they don’t have the full red blush that premium pears of this variety have, usually because they have come from a shadier part of the tree. They will keep well in the fridge and should be eaten a little soft to enjoy the full, sweet, flavour they are known for.  You will rarely see them as cheap as we have them this week in our stores!

HOW TO PICK
Corella pears ripen quickly, once they start developing a touch of yellow they will be ready to eat in a day or two.

HOW TO STORE
Store at room temperature in a fruit bowl. When ripe, store them in the fridge to prolong their life. Doing this should see them last 3 to 4 days.
