Green Shanghai Buk Choy is our most popular Chinese Veg. I still love an old fashioned stir fry and this veg is always the first ingredient I buy. Great as a green veg, in a stir fry, or pretty well anywhere you would use a cabbage, it’s usually Spring before we see these prices. You’ll find it on special across all of our NSW stores this week at a bargain price, so make sure to pick up a bunch or two!
HOW TO PICK:
Try and look for Buk choy stalks that are pure white, not rusty, and firm. Look for leaves that are dark green and not wilted. Avoid wilted, broken, or spotted leaves, limp stalks, and discoloration.
HOW TO STORE:
Buk choy will keep for 3 days unwashed in a container or wrapped in wet paper towel in your refrigerator.
