This time of the year is when brown onions are at their best. We are now sourcing our onions from South Australia which is the largest producer of onions in the country. Both Tasmanian and South Australian onions are the best we grow. They are fresh, new season onions which will keep and store very well and at the price, I believe it makes sense to stock up and save money.
HOW TO PICK
Choose firm, well-shaped onions with dry, papery skin. Avoid spongy or sprouting onions.
HOW TO STORE
Onions will keep for a long time if you store them in a cool, dry, dark place.
