Crimson seedless grapes are my pick this week. The crimson seedless variety are picked some weeks later then other grape varieties meaning they are fresher, crisper and keep longer at this time of year. Don’t be alarmed if any of our crimsons look paler (almost white) in colour they are eating fantastically at the moment. They’re low GI make them a great source of long-lasting energy and a perfect pick-me-up when you’re peckish - a good source of fibre, vitamin C and potassium. Great packed into the kids lunch boxes, in salads or desserts, or as part of a cheese platter.
HOW TO PICK
Choose grapes with a crisp firm flesh. Avoid soft or wrinkled fruit.
HOW TO STORE
Store unwashed grapes in an airtight container or in a sealed plastic bag in the fridge. For longer lasting grapes, wash only just before serving.
