Pick of the Week - Imperial Mandarins

Early May is the best time of year to grab a Aussie Mandarin. Coming from the Gayndah district in central QLD our Imperial Mandarins are at their absolute best this week. Great for kids as they are easy to peel and have very few seeds, they make the perfect portable snack. Imperial Mandarins are a good source of vitamin C, B-group vitamins, calcium, beta-carotene, minerals, folic acid and dietary fibre.

How to Pick

For a juicier imperial mandarin, pick fruit which feels heavy for its size, has glossy skin and is softer to touch. Avoid fruit that is rock hard and does not yield a little to pressure.

How to Store

Store in a cool place for up to a week. If you would like to keep them longer, store in the fridge.
