We have arrived in the heart of Newcastle. Our Cooks Hill store is now open on Darby Street!
The 1,200 square metre flagship market is one our largest and showcases a significant range of local products, nodding to the artisans and producers of the greater Newcastle and Hunter regions.
Shoppers can enjoy Maryville’s Uprising Bakery, complementing the store’s onsite bakery located on a mezzanine level with an impressive five-metre BreadFall, and Cadre Coffee by Newcastle café and roastery Moor. At the onsite café, shoppers can collect toasties and pastries on-the-go along with takeaway meals, house-made tagines and single origin coffee.
Newcastle has a wealth of great artisans and we’re combining these local heroes with the best from our neighbourhoods in Sydney, all under one roof. From the Hunter region, we stock local gourmet labels Rosto Grove, Bacco’s Bakeries and Pukara Estate as well as new brands Kerr’s Kitchen and Adina Vineyard.
Our signature farmers-style experience offers Newcastle an abundance of fresh fruit and vegies – including locally grown and organic options – plus a nut station and flower market.
The Newcastle shopfront bolsters the local offering with Fresh Seafood by celebrated fishmongers, the Papacosta family, and a 400-strong cheese selection.
The store is also home to a premium and extensive meat offering, with a cut-to-order Harris Farm Meats butchery and dry-aged fridges. Local shoppers will find many of Australia’s best producers including Joe Papandrea snags, Northern Rivers craft Salumi, Hazeldene’s Farm chooks, Cape Grim meats, Valenca pork, and much more.
The Darby Street store features the popular ‘pour-your-own’ Milk Bar, giving customers more milk choices with a rotating single herd milk on tap. Each dairy farm featured on tap receives an additional 30 per-cent return above regular milk farmgate prices per litre. Available in opening month is the Fairley family herd multi award-winning mixed breed milk, from their farm in Picton, NSW.
To celebrate the launch of the new store, we are hosting barbecue cook up to raise money for John Hunter Children’s Hospital during the opening weeks.
In line with our sustainable and minimal waste philosophy, our Newcastle store is plastic bag free.
Newcastle is our 21st Harris Farm store and joins the existing Erina store on the Central Coast. It carries on the commitment to offering the Central Coast and Hunter region communities high-quality fruit and vegies and premium gourmet groceries, plus plentiful onsite parking to match.
