“There is plethora of activity in the markets this week on the vegetable front. Zucchinis have come crashing down and are excellent value, imperfect eggplant excellent quality, and value as to is celery.
New season broad beans are on an excellent price this week. Our grower in Swan Hill in the northwest of Victoria grows and picks them just the way we like them. Young, tender and sweet to eat. Coriander is on a great price this week in all stores and is always well received when we run them on a special.
Sydney basin Kale continue to arrive at the markets in excellent numbers in is on a promotional price in all stores this week. Loose corn is still plentiful and great quality. The pick in the tomato category this week is our Imperfect tomatoes. There are still plenty of great quality mushrooms available, so we are offering them up again at a great price.
The volumes of Asparagus in the markets are crazy. Retailing in all stores at $1 or less the quality is amazing. For really keen consumers we even have case sale asparagus available. Handpick beans have also dropped drastically this week. Net red caps are good value for money this week in all stores."

"The spring crops of Papaya have finally hit the markets. From Far North Queensland papaya was a slow burn during winter months but volumes have increased as the warmer conditions prevail up north. On a great price in all stores the fruit is eating magnificent.
Kensington pride mangoes from Darwin in the Northern Territory are a highlight in fruit this week. It has been a stop, start season to date, but we are powering ahead now with the season in full swing. Mangoes are eating well, and we can expect prices to come down further over the next few weeks. All stores have Imperfect and tray sale mangoes which are good value this week.
New season Raspberries and blackberries are standouts in the berry category.”

“This is the first big week of the Northern Territory mango season. Kensington Pride Mangoes from Darwin have been flowing consistently into markets over the last week or so and we finally have enough conditioned fruit to run a super promotion in all stores. ”
