IN VEG:
There's been very little change in veg since last week. The best buys this week are broccolini, which is better buying than broccoli currently, red caps as well as 1 kg prepack carrots. Tomatoes aren’t as cheap as they have been but they’re still very good value. Most supplies post the Big Wet are now returning to normal.
IN FRUIT:
As mentioned in my Pick of the Week, lemons and limes are in abundant supply. Grapes continue to be well supplied and some of the really special (and very expensive) varieties, which are very limited in supply, will commence next week. Greenskin avocados are still well supplied and are great value. Apples and pears are also very good value and Plums are at their best right now. Chestnuts are always popular at Easter but they are not quite as inexpensive as years past due to the early Easter date.
