Choice Cuts - 12.01.16

We have a bumper week packed full of value at the meat department. Something absolutely perfect for the BBQ, or cut into steaks is the Yearling Beef Standing Rib Roasts. This should without doubt be sold over $20 a kilo, but you are getting it much much cheaper this week. We've got some tips for a perfect standing rib roast here

On the pork front we have juicy pork leg roasts, which is such an efficient way to feed a large crowd very cheaply.

For chicken, sometimes you need two specials. The huge one this week is the Curious Cuts Chicken Spare Ribs - these are absolutely sensational eating. On the bone, but not the wing as you may be thinking, this is a little single bone off the frame, with some breast meat and a touch of skin on it. These done in a really basic marinade and in the oven or on the BBQ eat just so well. You have to try them to understand it, grab a recipe leaflet in store or check out this Honey Soy Chicken Spare Ribs recipe for a really easy way to do these at home. The other poultry special this week is the fresh chicken breast fillets

We will be continuing on the lamb boned and netted shoulders, I did one on the BBQ last night and wow, amazing flavour. Being the shoulder, I did this a bit slower at about 150 degrees for 100 mins and it came out perfect. A nice salad with this is a super way to go.

Another great summer line that is super value this week is the award winning Pastoral Double Smoked Ham at a sensational price.
